"My own opinion is without the DJ’s Woxy.com isn’t Woxy.com. "

Correct. Sorry to sound like a jerk by stating the obvious but the DJs of WOXY couldn't save WOXY by being the same DJs they were before. WOXY had tweaked their format since the Baloughs left &, as far as I'm concerned, while reaching for the stars their feet left the ground. They became disconnected from their roots but were caught floating between success & abandoning their previous standards.

I would like WOXY to return. I, however, would like for them to return to a small-market target & operate within that scope instead of trying to blow up. Family owned business usually start off seeking sustainability & community reactiveness but by the 2nd or 3rd generation of operators they focus on the financial opportunity.

Now, granted, I don't know what all happened in what discussions after the Baloughs left or were leaving. I don't know what happened after LaLa came in nor after the next handoff. But doesn't that amount of handoffs while maintaining the same DJs kinda tell a story? They changed formats (no more local connections). They changed playlists (going from a live-person operated sequence to a digital list back to a partial live-person operated). They changed radio bands (97x to HD2 of 91.7). They didn't change the DJs.

Besides, the DJs have moved on. They've had to. I wish them well. Maybe they can be back under new direction, but if you change a car's tires, windshield, upholstry, paintjob, crankshaft, pedals, & A/C but it still don't run maybe you have to face the fact it's the engine.

Maybe.
