Downtown Residents’ Council

As CincyVoices voice of downtown I thought I’d highlight something every downtown resident should be part of, the Downtown Residents’ Council. Started to promote the central business district as an exciting place to live, work and play the DRC works with the city to improve the quality of living for everyone downtown, workers and residents. But the main purpose is to give residents a voice.

Along with a monthly meeting held on Tuesdays at the main library, the DRC also sponsors happy hours and membership entitles you to discounts at various downtown retailers and restaurants.
Anyone can attend the meetings and anyone living in the Central Business District can become a member.

Thanks for that, as people might guess we here at CV are very big on community engagement. This city does not belong to the politicians, the thugs, the cops, the Republicans, the Democrats, or any of the wide array of religions found here.
It belongs to the people of Cincy, and to all the neighbrhoods that comprise it. Get involved, go to your community meetings!
(BTW, we are always willing to consider publishing reports from these meetings as long as it is a CIncy neighborhood. If you get some good notes drop us a line, we might want to use it!)
Welcome, 5chw4r7z!
I just attended my first Northside Community Council meeting on Monday, and I have never been more excited to be an active contributor to my neighborhood / greater community!
I’ll need to add the downtown resident’s council to my dance card for next month!
BTW, The Great American Clean-Up is this Saturday! (shameless plug)
Cheers!
For those interested, Price Hill has a couple of citizen groups: East Price Improvement Association (EPHIA), PriceHill Will, Price Hill Civic Club and probably some others I’ve not found yet!
Loki is 100% correct – if we really want Cincinnati to become the city it can and should be – an integrated, whole THRIVING community, it is up to each of us to get involved in our own communities and then talk to each other for cross communication.
A city divided cannot stand.
